With HPS, I simply don't have to worry at all about the maintenance of my house. It's absolutely wonderful.
How the nicest homes stay that way!
Do you know what dangers lurk in the hidden recesses of your home?
Even beautiful and expensive homes can hide ugly secrets where their owners cannot see. Here are some examples of typical yet startling things HPS has uncovered during the quarterly servicing of our clients homes. These homeowners had no idea of the problems that were silently lurking in the dark.
Don't let this happen to you. Home Preservation Services helps reveal hidden issues so they can be dealt with before they become major problems.
Good maintenance requires good access. Contractors will sometimes leave debris under the house after doing their work rather than take time to clean it out. Aside from being unprofessional and messy, this can make it difficult and dangerous for anyone attempting to maintain the home later on. Bare electrical wires can be exposed, sharp metal pieces rust in contact with the ground, wood scraps rot and breed insects and provide nesting material for rats. HPS can shed some light on the condition of the hidden recesses of your home.
Poor access leads to sloppy work. In this picture the insulation was not correctly fastened to the underside of the subfloor (between the joints) and has fallen out completely. Needless to say, it's not doing much good on the ground. Poor working conditions probably lead to sloppy work.
Due to the broken ductwork shown in this photo, most of this home’s heat was going under the floor. We estimated that over 70% of the energy used to heat this home had been wasted...for years!
This photo shows the crawl area from a beautiful 10,000 square foot house. The interior of the house is lovely, but underneath is another story. HPS discovered this mess during our maintenance service and recommended a complete clean up of the sub area.
